Summer Lab Assistantship Program

This program is designed for undergraduate and graduate students who are ready to actively participate in a research project for the summer semester. Graduate students, especially those working on their thesis research, can greatly benefit from this program. Junior/Senior undergraduate students enrolled in UH (NSM/CCE) are also welcome. The students will be actively involved in Plant Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering Research. Interested students must apply online using a QR Code or complete the Program Application. Ten positions are available, and selected students must work in the lab for two months (Full time). The following are the benefits:
Registration is closed for 2025. Twenty-one students (13 undergraduate and 8 graduate students) participated in experiential and project-based learning opportunities. These students received financial support for the summer months. Each student either worked on an individual project, or continued their research from their capstone class. This program allowed them to enhance their knowledge and skills in plant biotechnology and genetic engineering. |
